Built off his knowledge of white magic he possessed from home and practiced a great deal in the aftermath of the destruction of Libertas, Sylvain's grasp on healing spells has deepened. His healing spells are more accurate and more effective with touch, but he can cast minor healing magic at short-range distances in an emergency. Currently seeking a tutor to teach him more advanced spells here and also a novice student in herbology and natural medicines to supplement it.

Still working on mastering control over it, both in using it at will and blocking it out when he's surrounded by a multitude of very strong emotions. With focused concentration, he can narrow it down to a single source now.

The school of magic Sylvain has been dabbling in the most in his own free time, partially out of play and partially out of experimentation. Currently attempting to find different angles to channel magic to more productive ends than the psionic magic he'd ended up with. He can most often be found researching and practicing this in the Horizon, although he does, on occasion, attempt it in the real world with questionable results.

Built off his knowledge as a dark knight and his skills in Reason/black magic, Sylvain is still figuring out how to translate his former knowledge into the magic of this world. Before coming here, he'd mastered the Fire and Bolganone spells, which allow him to cast out contained fireballs, as well as open up a fissure of flames beneath an enemy's feet. He may try to see if he can recreate Ruined Sky if he finds a weapon he thinks can withstand it.

Born out of desperate times during captivity in the pit, Sylvain stumbled across this ability accidentally and in time of great need, completing a bonding ritual accidentally. The details of this ability he is still discovering but once bonded to a weapon, he can't be disarmed unless incapacitated. If it is on the same plane of existence, he can summon it, causing it to instantly teleport to his hand. He can only be bonded to one weapon at a time, but the bond can be transferred to a different weapon with a repeat of the bonding ritual.

Built off an event gain when the old gods first stirred, Sylvain's novice knowledge of spells here involves causing psychic damage and can create doubt, insecurity, or other severe negative emotions in his target in response to his words or a discordant melody. Currently, he can only affect one target at a time and casting requires his full concentration.

Stumbled across out of frustration one night, Sylvain hasn't dabbled much in this school of magic beyond the repetitious casting of a singular use of a spell. Aided by his knowledge of black magic from home and his familiarity with fire spells.
