[ Entirely common here. That was part of the plan, in the end. Being Basch's would spoil Sylvain for any of the political needs placed on his shoulders, and hopefully keep him hidden from political enemies. But he wasn't ready to reveal that piece.
It did, however, make Sylvain fairly anonymous here, and that he would remind the other over and over. He did not need to watch his back, at least not when it was clear who he belonged to.
Which, he thinks, they're making a step toward, but the way Sylvain doesn't even try to stray too far. Maybe not safe haven yet, but Basch is clearly climbing in familiarity. Good. It takes all his self-restraint not to chuckle as the other walks into him.
He does, however, follow Sylvain's gaze, meeting the eyes of the ogglers and briefly putting a heavy hand on Sylvain's shoulder in an acknowledgement of possession, encouraging them to move on. ]
To convince you to be theirs, for a night or longer. Some care for consent. Some will try to leash you into a contract, though any would be void, as mine has been submitted to central records. Still, sometimes these things take a little while to sort out. Do be careful taking food or drink from strangers, though.
